I caddied for Andy at Green Valley in the early/mid 90's.He asked me to caddy for him in either the Open or Amatuer of Philadelphia. For whatever reason i never did. Andy was a great player and an even nicer guy.

I was an assistant pro here from 1989 thru end of 1992. Played this course over 600 times, and would play it 600 more if I could. I love this place.

It's a shame. Edgemont members were some of the nicest members in Greater Philly, and the club was wiling to make changes for younger generations. If a local course had to close why couldn't it be Whitford, who's club is controlled by a cliché of old guard members who are stuck in the 1980s.
